Pushing Forward-Sloped Boilers

Lignite coals used in thermal boilers in our country have low melting degree therefore, the melting ash creates an airtight layer of slag on the burning coal. To provide a good combustion the layer of slag must be broken continuously.

In this case, the slag melts and adheres to grid elements thereby clogging, bending and destruction of the air grid elements.

The elements of the grid with movement of pushing forward that are in lines have one line fixed and one line sliding forward therefore they break the layer and push forward the burning coal to the lower end of the grid.

In this way, the grid elements, that cause the lignite move from the upper part of the grill towards the bottom of the grill passes through the drying, gassing and combustion sections that coincide with the ash section where the grid elements are made of Cr, Si alloy malleable cast iron and the grid elements in the combustion zone with a temperature rising up to 900° C are made of heat-resistant alloy steel casting.

The combustion air is given under the grid and the grid elements are protected with a good combustion.

Grill driving is provided thanks to hydraulic or variator system. The flow rate of coal into grill and operation speed of the moving components is based on the automatic control system. In this way, adjustment and control of the water temperature of combustion in parallel with the vapor pressure is possible.

There are also ash and slag bunkers under the grill. There are ash receipt covers under the ash hoppers. Combustion inlet air is given under the grill and there is the air box and outlet for setting the air inlet here. Coal falls on the grill automatically and according to the width of the grill.

There are slag crushers located under the slag bunker and the ash flowing from the slag crushers is transmitted to the slag car or slag conveyor after taking the ash.
